SECTION 2 – GENERAL CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.

The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.

SECTION 3 – DESCRIPTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES

TEFL.CO is an online TEFL/TESOL supplier, we offer online courses as detailed on our site. We also partner with a Third-Party supplier for JOB Placements in China.

We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.

SECTION 4 – MODIFICATIONS TO THE SERVICE AND PRICES

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

SECTION 5 – REFUND POLICY

We offer a 14 day refund policy, if you are not satisfied with the course you have purchased. This is only if you have not completed the course and have not received a certificate. If you have a certificate, the refund can’t be issued, even if it’s within the 14 day period.

If you are using a voucher issued by a third party, please contact the third party for their refund policy.

Once we have processed a refund your login details will be revoked immediately.

SECTION 5 – ENROLLMENT

You can only be enrolled in one of our courses once you have paid the full amount , only then will access be granted.

It is important to note that TEFL/TESOL certification is only one of the requirements to teach online or abroad. The responsibility is with the user/student of the course to understand the requirements needed to teach English as a Foreign Language. Furthermore, it is important to note that the user/student has to be fluent in English with a neutral accent. TEFL.CO does not take any responsibility if the user/student did not do due diligence in terms of what is needed to teach ESL.

TEFL.CO is not a recruiter, although we are partnered with Teach-in-China.org. We do not accept any responsibility for the recruitment process. TEFL.CO will forward your CV and introduction video to the third-party. The onus is on the user/student to do research and ensure that all necessary documentation is in order.

SECTION 7 – DELIVERY OPTIONS

All courses and material can be viewed online, This documentation can not be downloaded and only viewed online. You will have access to our courses for 6 months from date of registration. Once a course has expired you will be able to renew/extend the course for a fee. If you course is dormant for 1 year, TEFL.CO can delete your details from the system without notice.

Should another channel be used, be aware of the channel’s procedure regarding, claiming, redeeming and obtaining access to our site. Once TEFL.CO is made aware of such a voucher, the student will be granted access within 48 working hours (excluding weekends and public holidays)

We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we neither monitor nor have any control nor input.

You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools ”as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.

Certain content, products and services available via our Service may include materials from third-parties.

Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties.

We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Please review carefully the third-party’s policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.

SECTION 9 – PAYMENT

Payment Options and Security:

Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.

Should you require EFT details, kindly email Admin@tefl.co.za and banking details will be supplied on request.

Card acquiring and security

Card transactions will be acquired for TEFL.CO via PayFast(Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayFast uses the strictest form of encryption. Users may go to www.payfast.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by TEFL.CO separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayFast’s secure site. For more detail on PayFast refer to www.payfast.co.za.

Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

SECTION 10: ISSUE OF CERTIFICATE

Before a certificate is issued, the user/student has to pass the course. The current pass rate is 70%, if the student does not pass the course, NO certificate will be issued.

You will only be issued with a PDF copy of your certificate. If you require the original copy of the certificate this can be done via courier delivery, there is a cost involved for this (Which can change at any time).

Please note that the names that are given at the time of issue of the certificate is the user/student’s responsibility to ensure that it is correct. Typically the names on the certificate should be the same as full birth names and surname. If corrections are required the user/student will have to pay for said corrections.

All certificates will include the ACCREDITAT logo following full accreditation approval. You will also be entitled to obtain a separate certificate from ACCREDITAT if you wish, following course completion. www.accreditat.com

SECTION 11: APPEALS PROCESS

If the user/student is not happy with the assessment process or feels that the mark given is not fair or correct, the student can email admin@tefl.co.za with the details and we will assess or moderate the assessment in question again.

SECTION 12 – PROHIBITED USES

In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using the site or its content:

for any unlawful purpose;
to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts;
to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances;
to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others;
to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability;
to submit false or misleading information;
to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet;
to collect or track the personal information of others;
to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape;
for any obscene or immoral purpose; or
to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service or any related website, other websites, or the Internet. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses.

SECTION 13 – SPECIAL NEEDS

If any student has special needs, we can arrange functionality for example “reading out loud” or personal attention given to the student.

SECTION 14 – INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TEFL.CO and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

SECTION 15 – SEVERABILITY

In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

SECTION 17 – ENTIRE AGREEMENT

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to The Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms of Service shall not be construed against the drafting party.
